For Journalists, Editors & Producers
Thoughtful conversations begin with trust.
Welcome to the media page for Peter Preble.
I'm an author, public theologian, and hospice chaplain whose work explores the places where faith, grief, history, ethics, and community meet everyday life.
For more than two decades, I've served congregations, walked alongside families at the end of life, written about public theology and civic life, and explored New England's rich religious and historical traditions. Whether writing an essay, speaking to a community group, or joining a radio or television interview, my goal is always the same: to help people think more deeply, listen more carefully, and discover the sacred in ordinary life.
I believe our public conversations are healthier when they are rooted in compassion, informed by history, and guided by a genuine desire to understand one another. That conviction shapes every article I write, every interview I give, and every conversation I have.
If you're a journalist, editor, producer, podcast host, or event organizer, I hope you'll find the resources here helpful. Whether you're looking for commentary, an interview, a speaker, or background information, this section has been designed to make it easy to connect.
Thank you for visiting.
I look forward to the conversation.
Whether you're reporting on faith, ethics, hospice care, grief, New England history, or community life, I'd be honored to contribute a thoughtful and well-researched perspective.
